Built in 1926, The Florentine building sits in the heart of downtown Birmingham as a beacon of charm and elegance. This beautiful, historic building is a perfect spot for a wedding reception!
If you’ve got a smaller group of guests, the lower-level café may be for you, with a seating capacity of 150. The café is sleek and modern, with a custom-built bar and a balcony overlooking the main floor.
On the other hand, if your reception is on the larger side, the upper-level grand ballroom is for you. This luxurious ballroom can accommodate 300 guests at round tables. If your guests don’t mind standing, then up to 450 people can share the space. And oh my, what a space it is! Some of the highlights include 100-year-old plaster detailing, an antique wooden dance floor, eight custom-made crystal chandeliers, and a jaw-dropping marble staircase. On top of that, two of the walls are completely lined with windows. If your reception is during the day, the room will be saturated with beautiful, natural lighting! And no matter what time of day, your guests will enjoy a spectacular view of downtown Birmingham.
Because The Florentine Birmingham focuses on receptions, it does not have accommodations for bride and groom getting ready for the wedding. What it does have, however, is a private dining suite for the wedding couple. This suite is a perfect getaway where the newlyweds can enjoy a quiet meal together before joining their guests.
The owners are one of Birmingham’s premier caterers, Corretti Catering! You won’t need to spend hours looking at caterers, bakers, florists, or coordinators, because all those services are under one roof at The Florentine! And whether you’re hiring a DJ or a live band, there is plentiful space for them to set up.
If you’re like me and your heart’s beating fast just hearing about this space, then take the plunge and check it out yourself! Just send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a time to visit.
